The Master of Information Management is part of a tiered family of qualifications:
- Master of Information Management
- Postgraduate Diploma in Information Management
- Postgraduate Certificate in Information Management
Choose the qualification that suits your career goals, time constraints and financial situation.
Staircasing allows movement in both directions—if you begin by enrolling in the Certificate or Diploma programme you can continue on to complete your Master's. Or if you enrol in the Master's but can't complete it, for whatever reason, you may have enough points to be awarded a Certificate or Diploma.
Get prepared for promotion to a higher-level management position like chief information officer, chief technology officer, chief digital officer or other senior roles in the management of information services and information systems. Or you might use your knowledge to create your own online startup.
Graduates with Master’s degrees in management and information technology are in high demand and are among New Zealand’s highest earners five years after the completion of their degrees.
You can look for scholarships based on your level of study, subject area and background.
The capability boost you get from doing an MIM means your employer may be willing to pay some or all of your costs. Many students are reimbursed their study fees for every course they pass.
