Water Technology is one key point of Environmental Engineering and therefore a key part of our future. Due to environmental pollution, climate change or our increasing world population, challenges in water-related topics are changing. The Master’s program Water Technology focuses on these topics. It covers the problem of change mitigation regarding problems as flood protection and technologies, such as desalination and of course aspects of sustainability and energy. Water Technology includes topics from "Resources oriented sanitation in developing countries“ to "Industrial Wastewater Treatment“ to "Water as Energy Source“.

Managing future challenges

Our Master’s program in "Water Technology“ will enable you to understand the global field of water technology and to develop solution-based approaches to different environmental issues. One focus will also be the management and simulation of water-related topics. You will also get an understanding of relevant laws and further develop your intercultural skills in our international classrooms.

Admission Requirements

  • Degree in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process / Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering
  • Technical pre-course required for applicants with: Chemistry, Biology, Urban Planning, or Architecture degrees
  • Grade: 2.5 or better
  • Proof of English: IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 80 or other proof of English proficiency

Start, Duration of Study & Credit Points

  • Biannually, April 1st and October 1st
  • 1,5 Years (90 ECTS)
  • 2 Years (120 ECTS) with a preliminary technical course

Tuition Fees

  • 770 EUR per month
  • a one-time registration fee of 750 EUR or 1.000 EUR for applicants from countries with visa obligations
