Introduction
The School of Systems & Enterprises’ (SSE’s) Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Engineering Management program equips engineers, technical managers, business operations professionals, and others with the skills, tools, and methodologies needed to effectively manage complexity across industries.
Designed at the intersection of engineering, management, and technology, the M.Eng. degree provides students with a strong understanding of the technology involved in engineering projects and the management process — during which the technology is used. Students can expect a program with a strong engineering core with training in quality management, project management, production and technology management, accounting, cost analysis, managerial economics, engineering design, and systems integration. Our program’s emphasis on real-world applications and hands-on learning prepares graduates to keep an organization running efficiently, cost-effectively, and importantly, ahead of its competitors. Upon completion of the M.Eng. degree, students advance to professional positions of increasing responsibility across a broad range of industries such as business, finance, healthcare, software, and technology.
The Master of Engineering in Engineering Management can be pursued in person or entirely online.

Engineering Management Curriculum Overview
Designed for the engineer and technical manager who needs a broader education to keep an organization operating efficiently and working ahead of its competitors, the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in engineering management provides students with a strong understanding of the technology involved in engineering projects and the management process through which the technology is applied. Graduates from the program are prepared to work effectively at the interface of engineering and management, and assume professional positions of increasing responsibility across a broad range of industries, such as: healthcare, technology, finance, business, and software systems.
The master’s degree requires ten (10) courses (30 credits), six (6) core required courses, and four (4) elective courses. All elective courses must be approved by a faculty advisor. Students are also encouraged to select electives that lead to graduating with one of the many graduate certificates offered by the School of Systems and Enterprises.
