The program is designed to support educators in developing the knowledge and skills specific to building a foundation of instructional leadership that supports school improvement.
Students who have successfully completed the Teacher Leadership M.Ed. program at the University of Utah and have a current Utah professional educator license may choose to re-apply (within 3 years of graduation) to the ELP department to complete requirements for K12 Administrative Licensure.
Complete the remaining six courses (+ practicum hours) of required administrative licensure coursework (summer, fall, spring semesters);
Pass a required Administrative Licensure test (Praxis or SLLA); and complete all eligibility requirements for recommendation to the Utah State Board of Education for Utah Administrative/Supervisory Licensure.
