Overview

Master of Education (Educational Leadership & Management) helps students gain a strong foundation in education theory and research, culminating in a project paper at the end of the course. The course structure is ideal for those who want to develop specialized knowledge and skills in educational leadership, research and other areas related to education management.

Program Entry Requirements

You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Master's Programme:

  • Bachelor's Degree Education (Hons) / Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Education with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 from an institution recognized by the Malaysian government or professional bodies; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree (Hons) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 AND Diploma in Education / Certificate in Education/ Diploma in Teaching from an institution recognized by the Malaysian government or professional bodies; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree (Hons) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 AND Diploma in Education / Certificate in Education/ Diploma in Teaching from an institution recognized by the Malaysian government or professional bodies AND must have 1-year working experience in the related field; OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree (Hons) with CGPA less than 2.50, can be accepted subject to five (5) year working experience in the related field; OR
  • Applicants into the Master’s program (level 7, MQF) through APEL, must be a Malaysian citizen aged more than 30 years of age in the year of application with relevant work experience/ prior experiential learning and passed APEL assessment.
