Program Description

Overview

Master of Education (Educational Leadership & Management) helps students gain a strong foundation in education theory and research, culminating in a project paper at the end of the course. The course structure is ideal for those who want to develop specialized knowledge and skills in educational leadership, research, and other areas related to education management.

  • An option to earn a PGDE teaching qualification upon successful graduate (MEd)

Program Entry Requirements

You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Master's Programme:

  • Bachelor's Degree Education in Early Childhood (Hons) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; or
  • Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in a related program with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the University’s Senate AND must have three (3) years working experience in Early Childhood education; or
  • Bachelor's Degree (Hons) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by University’s Senate and Diploma in Early Childhood Education/ must have four (4) years working experience in Early Childhood education; or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education with CGPA below 2.50 could be accepted subject to five (5) years working experience in Early Childhood Education and rigid internal assessment; or
  • Any other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
  • Applicants into the Master’s program (level 7, MQF) through APEL, must be a Malaysian citizen aged more than 30 years of age in the year of application with relevant work experience/ prior experiential learning and passed APEL assessment.
