Ministry thrives where the unchanging Word of God intersects with a constantly changing world. Ministry is about reaching people — letting Jesus Christ transform our lives and communities. Then again, is this simply a nicely stated ideal, or is it a living, breathing reality?
Ministry is hard and full of difficult questions, challenging situations and imperfect people. Seminary gives you the foundation to speak the truth of the gospel with conviction, compassion and grace in the midst of an increasingly post-Christian world. It equips you to teach the relevance and life-changing message of Scripture and set an example of faith in action.
Training that is right for you
As a pastor, you must combine passion, vocation and theology. Be equipped to speak to hundreds and to counsel one. Be ready to manage organizational growth and budgets, and lead teams of volunteers. Be prepared to support, encourage, challenge and inspire those you serve.
No seminary experience can hand you all the answers you need in the coming years of ministry. We equip you with the biblical knowledge and theological skill that you need to find the answers to the crucial questions of today. The MDiv program is designed to give you the tools you need to accurately interpret Scripture within its historical, geographical and cultural background and to apply it to your current ministry’s context, location and cultural demands.
Corban’s Master of Divinity is available entirely online or as a hybrid of online and on-campus classes to work around your schedule. You will be able to choose your own program pace and schedule, attending full time to finish in just three years or completing the program at a part-time pace.
The MDiv at Corban has both a Church Ministry track and a Biblical Languages track, so you can choose your courses based on your ministry needs.
- Interpreting and Teaching Scripture
- Servant Leadership
- Church History
Church Ministry: The Church Ministry concentration is available entirely online or in a combination of online and on campus classes. This concentration provides the educational base to pursue a Doctor of Ministry degree and gives a deeper look into various aspects of ministry.
Biblical Languages: Each concentration is designed to take you deeper in the Word and grow your knowledge and understanding. The Biblical Languages concentration provides the educational base to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree by including study in Greek and Hebrew. (Language classes are available on campus only.)
Corban University is committed to delivering the highest academic standards with a foundation in the Word of God. We are dedicated to seeing you succeed personally and in ministry. Part of that success is finding the right place to complete your seminary training.
