Introduction
KU Leuven's Master of Chemical Engineering Technology (Leuven) covers a wide variety of disciplines. Upon graduation, you will be equipped with the skills to lead and coordinate industrial production units as well as research, analysis and screening laboratories in technical-commercial, administrative and educational environments. Structure In addition to fundamental chemical-scientific course units, the curriculum includes courses in the fields of socio-economics (company management, economics) and chemical technology (engineering, separation techniques, chemical process technology, industrial process technology, surface chemistry, environmental technology, etc.). A flexible cross-campus elective package (multicampus module) and a master's thesis conducted in either a research-specific or industrial context enable you to focus your studies according to your specific interests and career goals. In the Sustainable Process and Materials Engineering option emphasis is placed on reliable technology that meets today's needs without jeopardising the welfare of future generations. This implies that materials and energy must be used efficiently, taking into account their impact on the environment. Thus, on the one hand this option focuses on the sustainable design, development and production of products and systems, and on the other hand, it is aimed at development, properties, characterisation, production and processing of (new) materials. Combine your master with a start-up or team project learning experience You can combine your master's program with the Postgraduate Tech Innovations in Ventures & Teams. During this program, you actually develop and implement an idea, either on your own or as part of a team. You are encouraged to innovate, transfer knowledge and develop technical and professional skills. With support from team coaches and industry professionals, this postgraduate program offers you a unique insight into the world of entrepreneurship. Please consult our website for recent information on this program.
