Majors

Master of Business (Accounting)

The discipline studies are designed to extend your real-world accountancy knowledge and skills. You will be introduced to contemporary issues facing modern businesses such as the impact of international differences in accounting policies and practices, forensics and accounting factors that contribute to an effective governance and accountability framework.

In undertaking this study area you will acquire advanced technical knowledge in such areas as financial statement analysis, management accounting and control, financial forensics and business intelligence. You will exercise your skills in critical thinking, reflection, analysis, and judgment to solve real-world problems in complex accounting and global business contexts. Working individually and in groups, you will become experienced in professionally and effectively communicating accounting and legal knowledge and advice to diverse audiences.

Master of Business (Applied Finance)

This course is designed to extend your real-world finance knowledge and skills. You will be introduced to contemporary issues concerning the operation of capital markets and the interaction between these markets and other economic units such as business, households, financial institutions, and governments.

Master of Business (Human Resource Management)

This course is designed to extend your real-world human resource management knowledge and skills. You will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage people in organizations, in the areas of recruitment, performance and reward systems, employment relations and staff development.

Master of Business (Integrated Marketing Communication)

This course is designed to extend your real-world integrated marketing communication knowledge and skills. You will acquire the skills to confront the fragmentation of mass markets, the explosion of new technologies that give consumers more control over the communication process, the emergence of global markets, and the rapid changes in economic conditions within which organizations operate.

In undertaking this study area you will also acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to make decisions on planning, research, and execution of integrated marketing communication programs to address real business needs.

Master of Business (International Business)

This course is designed to extend your real-world international business knowledge and skills. You will acquire industry knowledge and skills that span trade procedures, logistics, negotiation techniques, languages, regional understanding, and offshore business strategies.

In undertaking this study area you will also acquire self-management knowledge and the skills for effective communication and contribution to organizational performance in an international business context.

This course is designed to extend your real-world management knowledge and skills. You will acquire a strong theoretical and practical understanding of the key principles and practices of business management as well as hone your analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.

Master of Business (Marketing)

This course is designed to extend your real-world marketing knowledge and skills. Marketing encompasses creating new products/services, their packaging, and contents, deciding where and how to sell them, communicating with potential customers about their benefits and applying these processes to existing products or services.

Master of Business (Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies)

This course is designed to extend your real-world philanthropy and nonprofit studies knowledge and skills.

Master of Business (Public Relations)

This course is designed to extend your real-world public relations knowledge and skills. Public relations focuses on how to build organizational relationships, write for and liaise with the media, and make public relations decisions across the corporate, government, agency and not-for-profit sectors.

You will build skills and knowledge relevant to the specialised third sector and core content is framed by the international Nonprofit Academic Centers Council curriculum.

Master of Business (Professional Accounting)

This course is designed to extend your real-world accountancy knowledge and skills. You will be introduced to contemporary issues facing modern businesses such as the impact of international differences in accounting policies and practices, forensics and accounting factors that contribute to an effective governance and accountability framework.

Master of Business (Strategic Advertising)

This course is designed to extend your real-world strategic advertising knowledge and skills.

The advertising study area is focused on equipping you with an understanding of crucial advertising theory and contemporary practice. It will empower you with critical thinking, problem-solving and strategic insight to face real-world challenges and diverse business issues in the area of account service, planning, media, creative and digital advertising.
