Flinders University’s programs in business are designed to provide you with a strong foundation in business knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes for a successful career in a range of organizations including private sector business, not-for-profit, government and public-sector entities. Flinders Business’ teaching philosophy and small class sizes ensure that you can really engage with the person leading the learning while also getting to know your fellow students who are from a range of cultural and social backgrounds.
The program comprises core topics and electives. Core topics cover areas such as business accounting, business finance, marketing principles, marketing strategy and decision making, international business in the Asia-Pacific region, applied research methods in business, sustainability and ethics in management, economics for business, and managing people. A topic in academic skills for business is specifically aimed at postgraduate students from non-English speaking backgrounds.
Business topics are taught at Flinders’ city presence in Victoria Square, Adelaide CBD. Some topics are taught in intensive delivery mode. Some elective topics may be taught at Bedford Park campus. Some elective topics are available online.
