Maximize your career opportunities with our MBE program
We are living in a time of exponential change. Innovation cycles are getting shorter, and the ability to recognize the market potential of new technologies at an early stage is becoming increasingly important.
To address the skill set required by this changing economy, we developed our Master of Business Engineering (MBE) degree. This program embraces the tension between technology and business, helping you develop expertise in both areas at a master’s level. The program focuses on management, technological innovation and engineering, technology transfer, technology-driven business transformation, and leadership.
You can also choose from two specializations:
Industry 4.0 / IoT engineering
During your studies, you will systematically build your knowledge, starting with recognizing the potential of new technologies and trends before progressing through economic and strategic evaluation in the context of digitalization and rounding it all out with implementation.
Historically, the MBE has been a cornerstone of economic success and technological innovation in the German economy. As we head into the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), Steinbeis SMI takes it one step further to meet the evolving needs of the market. Through interdisciplinary education, we give you the skills you need to become a leader of the future who can develop technology-driven business models as well as market- and business-driven technologies.
Your future prospects with a Steinbeis MBE
After successful completion of this program, you will have extensive career prospects with your know-how in economic and technical fields. Numerous German global players — such as Daimler, Bosch, and SAP — recruit graduates of Steinbeis SMI, particularly those with an MBE. Many of our alumni work in the fields of strategy, technology research and development (R&D), digital transformation, and corporate management.
Build on your strengths and close any gaps in your knowledge with our wide range of modules
Although the Business Foundations and Engineering Foundations courses are mandatory for every student, you will get to chose an area of specialization based on your career path and learning objectives. Dive deep into topics that excite you and can help advance your career — from robotics to artificial intelligence and from IoT product engineering to smart applications. Combining a strong general management foundation with up-to-date knowledge from the specializations of your choice, the Steinbeis MBE gives you the tools you need to meet the needs of the modern business world.
To enroll in our international MBE program, you must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 180 ECTS.
