The Master of Business (Marketing) is suitable for managers and middle managers seeking to further their career in a specialized field of business. Theoretical and practical knowledge and skills are developed through the study of the foundation, specialization specific core subjects, and electives. The specialized knowledge and skills are consolidated through the completion of an industry based research project.
This specialization enables you to develop and demonstrate technical knowledge and skills in marketing, a field increasingly important for all types of organizations that need to deliver value through the products and services they create. You will have the opportunity to study a wide range of advanced topics in marketing and gain professionally oriented generalist and specialist marketing skills.
You also have the option of undertaking a Master of Business (Double Specialisation) that allows you to select two specializations and complete the course over two years full-time.
If you have already completed an undergraduate degree in Commerce or a related area you may be eligible to receive credit for recognition of prior learning for this course.
If you are considering studying business administration at a strategic level and have relevant full-time work experience you should consider the Master of Business Administration.

Candidates may choose to study a single or double specialization.
Candidates who study a single specialization are required to complete 12 subjects (72 credit points) in accordance with the list below. The 12 subjects comprise 4 foundation subjects, 7 subjects from one of the specializations and 1 capstone research project subject (MGNT922).
Candidates who study a double specialization are required to complete 16 subjects (96 credit points) in accordance with the list below. The 16 subjects comprise 4 foundation subjects, 5 core subjects from each of the two selected specializations, 1 elective subject (selected from 1 of the specializations) and 1 capstone research project subject (MGNT922).
A recognized Bachelors degree with an equivalent average mark of 50%; or a UOW Graduate Certificate in Business. Other tertiary qualifications combined with extensive professional work experience will be considered.
