A Master of Biology, also known as a Master of Biological Sciences, is a degree that trains students in advanced concepts in the biological sciences and is available in both thesis and non-thesis formats.
Thesis-based master's degree programs in biology, geared towards students planning to pursue Ph.D. degrees and academic careers, have rigorous research requirements. Non-thesis programs are more suitable for pre-med or pre-dental students. Specialization options include evolutionary biology, immunology, molecular biology, plant biology, and animal biology.
Schools offer one and two-year programs with tuition starting at $20,000 USD per academic year, although partial merit scholarships are available for high performing international students based on IELTS (6.5+) and TOEFL (90+) exam scores as well as CGPA and GRE (300+) or GMAT (550+) exam scores.
Many programs incorporate training and practical experience, in the form of research projects, presentations, lab work, and OPT and CPT opportunities.Pixabay / Pexels
