The University subscribes to and promotes the philosophy of integrated learning. Integrated learning is a move away from memorization and recitation of isolated facts to a more active engagement of concepts and connections between ideas, self, and society. Learning in an integrated course is not an end in itself, but is ultimately a vehicle for knowledge essential for personal and social transformation. It promotes the formation of character and values, meaning and purpose – aligned with biblical values and God’s revealed truth. Integrated learning involves the development of the whole person. It fosters not only academic and professional development but also physical, social, emotional, moral, cultural, and religious/spiritual growth. It seeks to develop men and women who will pursue meaningful work, make important contributions to their workplaces and communities, and ultimately, glorify God and fulfill the Great Commission.
