The extra-occupational Master in Business Management (MA) is aimed at professionals with a first degree in economics who wish to deepen their specialist knowledge. Unlike the usual function specialization in business administration courses in Germany, this master program is oriented towards the ideal life cycle of a company and focuses on the three phases of "founding", "growth" and "restructuring".
Building on the economics knowledge from the first degree course (eg Bachelor) and her professional experience, students of the Master in Business Management develop a holistic management perspective that qualifies them for comprehensive, responsible management positions, especially in the areas of management, consulting, finance and accounting, corporate restructuring, strategic marketing and start-up.
Individual modules from the curriculum of the extra-occupational master's program Business Management can also be taken as part of the FlexMaster program.
The further-education master's program of the International Graduate Center, Hochschule Bremen is application-oriented and aims to deepen existing knowledge in theory and practice. It provides the ability to apply this expertise to well-known and new topics from professional practice on a national and international level and to communicate the results competently. In addition to conveying application-related management skills, great importance is attached to the reflexive handling of more complex practical questions as well as the independent acquisition of knowledge and skills.
Furthermore, key competences are acquired in order to be able to assume overarching management positions in addition to function-typical tasks.
This economics master's program is designed so that it can be completed full time while working full-time, as the content is taught on Friday evenings and on weekends as well as online. In five semesters, he builds on the business knowledge of the students from the first professionally qualifying academic degree and the acquired professional skills. The seminars are held in German as well as in English.
The Master in Business Management is aimed at working people with a university degree in economics and a subsequent at least one year's professional experience. Solid English skills are also required as the courses are held in both English and German.

An MBA or Master's degree can generally be deducted in full (tuition, accommodation, books, etc.) from the tax, since postgraduate courses in contrast to initial training for tax purposes as training (judgment of the Federal Finance Court AZ VI R 24/95, Federal Tax Sheet 1996 II P. 452).
The prerequisite is, however, that the MBA or Master's degree in further education or a similar field of study serves for the planned career. In any case, it makes sense to obtain from a tax consultant or specialist tax lawyer a binding information that takes into account the individual situation.
