About the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration
The AISTS MAS in Sport Administration - Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Administration and Technology - is a unique postgraduate programme in sports management endorsed by the International Olympic Committee.
Held in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, participants are trained by experts in sport and academics, in the following multidisciplinary fields applied directly to sport:
• Management & Economics
The best academic and technology institutes of Switzerland: the EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), the University of Geneva, and the University of Lausanne (UNIL) cooperate to offer students a rich education programme.
This sports management education programme is a 15 month programme that includes in-classroom learning (lectures, case studies, activities and field trips), 2 months work experience in the sports industry, with the rest of the time spent on a team project and research paper.
The AISTS MAS in Sport Administration is designed for sports-minded professionals wishing to broaden their knowledge in sports management and helps participants achieve a stronger skill set for their existing or desired career in the sports industry.
There are approximately 40 participants accepted each year and the application requirements are as follows:
- Participants must possess a university degree from a recognised university
- Participants must be fluent in English as all lectures are given in English
- Participants must be planning to pursue a career in the sports world
- Participants should have a few years of work experience
- Participants must complete the online application form and attach all requested documentation
All the application files are reviewed and decided by the AISTS Scientific Committee within 6 weeks after the application deadline. All the candidates are informed of the selection decision by e-mail and regular mail.
English Test Requirements
Applicants to the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration must submit English language exam results (TOEFL or IETLS) when applying for the AISTS MAS to prove English fluency (written & oral).
Candidates must be fluent in written & oral English to participate in the programme. All classes, coursework, and presentations will be in English. Confirmation of English ability through an exam will prove beneficial for an applicant.
- TOEFL min scores: 550 paper, 213 Computer, 85 Internet (min. 20 for each section)
- IELTS min score: 6.5
How to Apply
The AISTS MAS in Sport Administration 2018 edition, starting in September 2017, will open in September 2016.
In order to apply, you must:

There are three deadlines to apply to the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration programme:
- 1st November
- 1st February
- 1st May
Applications are reviewed after each deadline. You can expect an answer from us 4 – 6 weeks after the deadline.
Course fees for the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration 2018 amount to CHF 28'000 (Swiss francs).
These are tuition fees and therefore do not include the costs of travel, board and lodging.

AISTS Future Female Leader in Sport Scholarship
The AISTS Future Female Leader in Sport Scholarship aims at creating more opportunities for women in sport by offering one female candidate, who wishes to pursue a career in the sport industry, a reduction of half of the course fees.
AISTS Athlete Scholarship
The AISTS Athlete Scholarship grants an international elite athlete the opportunity to study the AISTS MAS in Sport Administration with a scholarship of a value of half the tuition fees. This scholarship is offered to current or former athletes who have competed at an international level.
