Programme Objectives and Structure
ESEI’s Master in Tourism and Hospitality Management programme focuses on the following objectives:
You will examine the various sectors that make up the tourism industry, analyse their attraction and positioning, as well as the conditions and circumstances which facilitate their success.
Hotel management and operations
You will learn the theory and practical elements of hotel management, from staffing, quality management to revenue control, events management and bar and restaurant administration.
Understand the customer journey and operate with the bigger picture in mind; you will develop a brand identity that adheres to the basic principles of marketing, engaging and connecting with customers in order to maintain a healthy relationship with them.
Global approach to business
You will examine the Barcelona business tourism model and understand how the public and private sectors interoperate for sustainable industrial development. What’s more, you’ll look at new trends in tourism and visit one of the most innovative players in the industry.
Marketing and brand management
You will learn how to project manage a website, how to deal with developers and understand the functions of a website and how it supports your brand. You will study the theories behind effective destination management, and look at real-world business models and see how they are applied to tourist destinations. You’ll also learn how to manage luxury brand communication, brand protection and the challenges involved in the market.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Business Ethics
You’ll look at how CSR related to your brand identity, and at what goes into successfully communicating your values. You will also examine the philosophy and psychology behind ethical business decision-making.
The Master in Tourism and Hospitality Management is a full-time Master’s programme taught completely in English and takes place over two academic semesters. You will be able to start the programme in February or October each year, and will take the following modules in each semester:
