Program Description

Master in Textile Engineering

Graduates will learn to independently manage innovation projects applying textile technologies including quality evaluation, spinning, weaving, knitting, nonwoven textiles, clothing or tissue engineering in health care and other applications, and gain both theoretical knowledge and hand-on experience in production. The aim is to provide them with comprehensive knowledge of the whole area of textile and clothing technologies, mainly based on understanding of basic principles and processes, and on development of corresponding intellectual skills. They will master both the technological part and the part related to textile structure and properties. Upon graduation, they will have developed the ability to work independently and be technically creative. They can be employed immediately in clothing and textile production, in managerial, research, or educational spheres. They can adapt to working at other branches, especially technical. They are capable of further independent qualification growth. They can approach problems in a complex way, i.e. from the viewpoint of other than only technical sciences (economy, ecology, and environment).

“The most beautiful moments always seem to accelerate and slip beyond one’s grasp just when you want to hold onto them for as long as possible.” - This was my time in TUL, graduating not only with a degree certificate but also leaving with tons of wonderful memories. Magnificent teaching class with high end research laboratories, the place you can innovate. I really admired excellent professors and highly supportive staff, who assisted a lot in my career life. World class exposure not only to research fields and subjects but also human exchanging innovative ideas from all who came from different countries across the globe. The best dormitories I have lived in so far with great amenities and a social hub for the foreigners. TUL era will always be the best chapter of my life! Karthik Kolappan, B.Sc., Ing.
