Graduates of the Service Management & Engineering master program have the ability to comprehend and evaluate how hardware and software developments in modern information and communication technologies influence the future service market. Engineering-based problems can be solved with the help of complexity management methods. The program conveys an interdisciplinary approach to the solution of problems and trains adequate solution methods for hardware and software applications.
The skills and expertise acquired in the program are the basis of pursuing an integrated approach to information and communication technologies. The Service Management & Engineering master program addresses young dynamic professionals (aged 28 - 42) having academic degrees, who are working in the fields of service management, information technologies, software engineering or IT management.

The interdisciplinary program covers technological, economic and legal perspectives. Graduates will be trained to understand modern information technology, to apply business process and software engineering tools for service development, to utilize economic and management know-how to devise and lead service-oriented businesses, and to know basic legislation and regulations.
In order to be admitted to our Service Management & Engineering master program, the following requirements have to be fulfilled:
Appropriate qualification for university entrance:
First degree: Bachelor, master, diploma, etc. (University, University of Applied Sciences, Cooperative State University).
The first degree should be in:
- computer science
- information technology
- business engineering
- physics or a related subject.
Basic knowledge of one of the following fields is required:
- Theoretical and technical communication science
- operations research
- micro- and macroeconomics In exceptional circumstances other degrees may be accepted (e.g., professional experience).
Professional Experience: Depending on the first degree´s level (210 or 180 ECTS points), work or 1 or 2 years of practical experience in the specific field of the course is obligatory. Three years of work experience are recommended. References are needed as evidence.
TOEFL Test: Evidence of an adequate knowledge of the English language is required, normally in the form of a TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language).
Interview: The last step of admission is the successful completion of the interview with the program director.
