This specialization program comes from the current need that the market directs on qualified professionals in the field of orthopedics and sports. for pragmatic and effective clinical performances for the benefit of patients who are affected by different musculoskeletal disorders of the body system. The justification and economic context of this specialization are to follow and progress in the trends of the orthopedic and sports market, in its advances in virtual technology, in rehabilitation, and modern strategies through physical resources and exercises in the performance of amateur and professional athletes. Above all, it aims to exercise a modern, competent clinical practice based on scientific evidence. For this, it will have a team of highly qualified teachers, specialists, masters, and doctors, with extensive experience in teaching and providing services to the community. At the end of the course, the specialist physiotherapist student will be inserted into the market with all the security, competence, and pro-activity that sports physiotherapy demands. The great differential of this specialization course, in relation to the demand presented by the job market, will be in relation to its multidisciplinary performance among medical professionals, physiotherapists, and physical educators, as well as the essential skill in the assistance process when promoting supervised internship to students. To attend the internship, the total course load will be 360 hours, with a theoretical-practical approach and clinical training, which guided the health professional in clinical decision-making and more effective treatments for musculoskeletal disorders in orthopedics and sports.
