Completing of the program will enable you to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the industry and scientific research, successfully realize yourselves in the field of optics, physics, modern material handling, welding, measuring technology, and communications.
Basic subjects of studies: Solid state physics, Physical technologies, Quantum mechanics and statistical physics, Modeling and simulation of physical processes, and others. Special disciplines: Micro and nanotechnology, Laser measuring equipment, Optical design, Components of the laser technology, Modern development of laser technology, and others.
Visiting professors from partner universities will be involved as teachers and advisors in the program. Students have an opportunity to participate in Erasmus mobility for studies and traineeship. The language of instruction is English or German.
Qualification awarded: Academic Master in Laser Technology.
Admission requirements: Professional or academic bachelor's degree (study duration of at least 3 years (180 ECTS) or second level (or equivalent) higher education in engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, medicine, computer science, information technology, mathematics, or economics.
Duration of studies: 2 years of full-time studies.
Study programme consists of 2 parts:
- Part A – compulsory courses (general).
- Part B – elective courses (specialization).
To complete study programme student has to earn 80 CP (120 ECTS).
Access to further studies: Doctoral Studies.
Final test, if any: Master's thesis.
Study fee: 2900 EUR per year.
The application deadline for the Master in Laser Technologies program is July 1 for September intake and October 25 for February intake.
