The Master in International Management (MPGI) is a graduate degree program offered by FGV/EAESP in partnership with renowned international institutions, created to provide professionals with the competencies they need to take up leadership positions in a global business environment.
This program offers the opportunity of a double degree graduation, i.e., a Master in International Management from FGV/EAESP, acknowledged by CAPES (a Brazilian Ministry of Education’s institution that recognizes the quality of graduate programs in the country), plus a master’s degree from an international partner institution.
The program has two tracks: intensive or regular. on the intensive track, the student studies six months at FGV/EAESP and six months in one of the other 29 CEMS universities (5th best international master’s degree according to the Financial Times). On the regular track, the student studies one year at FGV/EAESP and one year in another partner university, receiving the double degree.

Who is it for?
Professionals who have earned their undergraduate degrees up to five years ago mainly in Business Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Economics, Accounting, Law and International Relations, Engineering.
Students from international partner schools with cooperation and double degree agreements signed with FGV/EAESP.
English is the primary language of the program, for both learning activities and student assignments. Graduate students from all over the world are admitted to the courses, thus providing a cross-cultural environment and broadening the international experience.
MPGI has two possible tracks:
Intensive: On this track, the student studies six months at FGV/EAESP, and six months in one of the other 29 universities linked to the CEMS Alliance (5th best international master’s degree according to the Financial Times Ranking) and has another six months to finish the master thesis. After completing the program, the student receives a Master’s Degree from FGV/EAESP and the CEMS certification.
Regular: On this track, the student studies one year at FGV/EAESP and one year in one or two of the partner universities. By the end of the two years, the student must present the master thesis. After completing the program, the student receives a Master’s Degree from FGV/EAESP and a Master’s Degree from the partner institution or the CEMS certification.
For both of the tracks, the student must attend a minimum of 384 class hours. For the Regular track, depending on the partner institution, the student must attend more hours. In both tracks, the student must attend three mandatory courses (Applied Research Methodology, Strategy in an International Perspective and Global Management Practice) and at least 13 elective courses.
In both modes, the student must write a master thesis. The thesis may be a dissertation, a consulting project, a case study or a case of education. We give priority to the thesis with applicability in the business world.
Courses at MPGI are taught by FGV-EAESP faculty members consisting of approximately 300 professionals with wide experience in the business world and degrees from leading universities from Brazil and abroad. At partner schools, the faculty is composed of PhDs with experience in research, consulting and executive management.
