GEMA Business School

The Master Programme in Human Resources Management is designed and promoted by GEMA Business School and is tailored for those who have a strong interest in international aspects of Human Resource Management. Informed by current research, advanced scholarship and professional practice the programme offers an opportunity to extend and develop skills, knowledge and critical abilities so the students will broaden and expand their personal skills in communication, presentation, research, critical analysis and problem solving.

The Programme is issued in collaboration with the University of Greenwich in London (UK) and consists in a period of 4 months to spend in London from January to May. Students will attend courses at Greenwich taught in English by the Faculty of the University and have to take a final evaluation to pass.

The Programme includes leadership and organizational behaviour, human resource strategy, human resource functions, international context of HRM, Knowledge and consultancy interventions. Through these various courses, students will broaden and expand their personal skills in communication, presentation, research, critical analysis and problem solving. Master path consists in a first induction period held in Rome at GEMA Business School, a second educational period in London at the University of Greenwich and a third internship period in companies and organizations based in Italy.

Thanks to the partnership with the University of Greenwich of London, all the training activities (lectures, researches, assignments, project works, etc.) will be held in English language by Faculty Members, Visiting Professors and Guest Speakers from British and International business context.

In order to allow students to be properly prepared to deal with the international experience, GEMA has designed a “Starting Path” as a first phase of the Master Programme that will be held in Rome and focused on Human Resources Management Fundamental.

Learning Goals and Methods

The Master Programme is designed for those who have a strong interest in international aspects of Human Resource Management either through previous study or through current or past responsibilities for human resource activities in the public or private sector.

Informed by current research, advanced scholarship and professional practice, the programme offers an opportunity to extend and develop skills, knowledge and critical abilities at Masters Level in the field of International Human Resource Management.

Courses particular to this Programme include: leadership, organisational behaviour, human resource strategy, human resource functions, research methods, international context, human resource management skills and consultancy.

Through these various courses students broaden and expand their personal skills in communication, presentation, research, critical analysis and problem solving.

Career Opportunities

HR function offers a multiple range of opportunities depending on the different areas it is implemented.

Some HR jobs primarily involve research skills or data analysis, others demand creativity and inter-personal skills, and many require a mix of logical thinking, drive, tenacity and excellent communication skills.

Moreover, the international context of the ìHRM Program (held in English language and part of it in London – UK) will also give you an important add value that will improve your competitiveness in the future business environment.
