Transportation systems worldwide face well-known problems in safety, congestion, and environment. The smart use of technology in transportation systems can reduce death and injury, enhance mobility, and protect environmental resources. Supported by United States, Europe, Japan, and South Korea, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is a program intended to improve the transportation systems efficiency through advanced technologies in information systems, communications, and sensors.
At Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the ITS master program goal is to study transportation systems and related technology systematically. The program focused on transportation industry systems and current government-funded research topics. Students will be introduced to key research areas in ITS industry. The Program provides the student with an understanding of the basic building blocks and techniques used in the development of ITS systems for solving transportation problems.
The program affords a variety of outstanding opportunities for students to contribute to important research in academia and industry as well as to gain valuable experience to be professional transportation engineers.
Financial support is available to qualified students.
The minimum graduate admission requirements are:
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution in civil, telecommunication, or computer engineering.
- 2.5 GPA or equivalent.
- Pass the English requirements or student will be required to pass certain English courses before graduation.
