The main scientific direction and area of training is the comprehensive provision of information security of automated systems. Security of automated systems is the direction of science and technology, covering a combination of software and hardware, cryptographic, technical and organizational-legal methods and means of ensuring information security in automated systems during its processing, storage and transmission using modern information technologies.The main areas of specialist training:Organizational and legal issues of information security (IS);
High-level programming in modern operating environments;
System engineering and circuit design of information security tools;
Assembler programming of the latest hardware platforms;
Mathematical aspects of information security, cryptography, steganography, crypto and stego analysis;
The latest secure networking technologies for global, corporate and local use.The information security of automated systems covers a combination of software and hardware, technical and legal methods and means of ensuring the protection of information in automated systems during its processing, storage and transmission using modern information technologies. Computer security covers the development of construction principles and methods of hardware and software implementation of modern information security systems using cryptographic tools.Educational processThe department has a park of computer and specialized equipment. The overwhelming majority of computers, technical means for providing the educational process, and laboratory practical work were acquired based on the results of department R&D.
Students undergo internships in partner organizations of the Department of IU8, as well as at defense industry enterprises in accordance with targeted training programs.Scientific work and development prospectsAlong with search research, the department pays great attention to applied problems of ensuring the security of modern information systems. Employees, graduate students and students of the department are involved in the development of many important scientific programs. standardization in the field of information security.Intensive work and enthusiasm of the development teams lead to the creation and development of completely new hardware and software tools for masking data on the main (including removable) storage media and hardware and software for ensuring computer network security. No less relevant are works devoted to information protection of workplaces of operators of special systems, as well as processing, protection and masking on any media of audio information, static images and video.
