Study program Industry 4.0 is a new and prospective study program that connects Computer Science and Cybernetics into a unique form. Students will be introduced into new trends in digitalization and production optimization as well as with the opportunities that bring new trends in data analysis, machine learning, image analysis, and computer vision. The balance between practical and theoretical knowledge allows graduates to be a useful member of innovation teams of production factories, and to solve practical problems with new approaches. The master thesis may be focused on real-world issues related to simulation and modeling of production processes, predictive quality, and maintenance, utilization of camera systems or robot programming and movement optimization.

The graduate will find their jobs in industrial companies, IT companies, production planners in tasks related to production optimization as a data analyst in industrial companies, production assistants and other positions.
The goal of the study program is to teach students multidisciplinary skills that combine Computer Science as Cybernetics. The primary focus is set on Computer Science skills due to the importance of data analysis in modern factories. The complexness of the production lines and automatization of the processes brings the necessity of the Cybernetics. The primary goals of the program are as follows:
The students will understand production processes and their control systems including the utilization of industrial robots.
Students will have an in-depth knowledge of data processing and knowledge mining, image processing, big data analysis and its usage in production optimization.
Students will specialize in analytical or controlling areas by additional subjects.
Students will be able to work in industrial companies and ve useful and valuable members of the teams.
The theoretical background includes mathematical and statistical knowledge as well as the knowledge of data analysis, knowledge mining, image processing, digitalization of industrial applications and cyber-physical systems. Moreover, the student may choose the optional subject from computer vision, parallel data processing, production optimization and advanced control and distributed systems.
Besides theoretical knowledge, practical skills that will be taught are focused on computer vision and machine learning, knowledge mining, production optimization, and scheduling. Moreover, industrial robot programming and advanced control system design are also included.
Graduate's general competence
The graduates will be prepared for individual work on production optimization departments. The graduates will be able to participate in solving complex real-world problems, inter-team communication, and be useful members of the team. Due to the extremely evolving environment and area, the graduate will be able to absorb novel ideas and knowledge, technologies, and apply them in his work.

Bachelor degree (at least)
English-language ability – students, who are not native speakers may be asked to demonstrate their ability to study in English, e.g. by presenting the results of any language tests they have taken. English language ability document - minimum requirements: IELTS score 5,0; TOEFL internet-based score 62 (possibly other certificates at the same level)

Recognition document of graduation certificate - official document to say that the degree is recognized in the Czech Republic
