The professional training of the Master in Inclusive Education of the Central University of Chile is enriched with the contributions of academics (as) of outstanding experience in the field of inclusive education and research. In this framework, the program aims to train professionals capable of promoting and contributing to an equitable and quality education for all, without discrimination of any kind, recognizing in diversity an opportunity to build a more just, democratic society and inclusive.
This professional of the area of education will be possessor of a broad and up-to-date knowledge in the field of educational policy and management for the transformation and continuous improvement of the conditions that favor educational inclusion. Will be able to manage and diversify the curriculum to respond to diversity and ensure learning and participation of all students. As well as to design and develop proposals and research projects that contribute to the resolution of concrete problems in inclusive education.
The Master in Inclusive Education program aims to develop professional competencies that promote the understanding and management of inclusive cultures, policies and practices in the different levels of education and decision-making in the educational system. This in order to contribute, from a pluralistic and integral vision of the human being to the improvement of the quality and equity of the education of the country, assuming the challenges and commitments demanded by the construction of a truly inclusive educational system, in the policy areas and educational management, curriculum and diversity, and research for inclusion.
The Master's Program in Inclusive Education, is oriented to professionals who develop their professional practice in the different levels of education in order to achieve the competences that allow them to generate inclusive spaces that favor the presence, participation and learning according to the interests of the people , its purposes and contexts.
This program is designed, mainly, for professionals with a bachelor's degree in education or related careers, who wish to expand their opportunities for professional development and the spectrum of their occupational field, acquiring specialized knowledge in different areas of inclusive education.
The graduate of the Master's program in Inclusive Education is a professional with specific and generic competences to understand, analyze, evaluate, investigate / investigate, develop and innovate, generating projects and educational proposals aimed at the transformation of culture and educational practices to move towards an inclusive system. Additionally, he has interpersonal and systemic competences, which enable him to contribute from his disciplinary field to the processes of inclusion, assuming leadership and collaboration roles. Graduated (a) behaviors and attitudes of honesty and social, political and cultural responsibility are expected; respectful of ethical and normative principles proper to the task in the educational environment.
