We will discover that a companies’ performance relies on how top-management teams formulate and implement strategies, how organizations are designed in order to exploit the potential of technologies, and how people collaborate to innovate products and services. The Master in Human Resources & Organization (MHRO) is a full-time (and full-experience) English program, which aims to prepare graduates, from any discipline, to master organizational design and human resources management challenges in multicultural contexts.
This program is both a Master of Science and Master of Practice, so to speak. While the academic excellence is assured by international-focused academic professors, you will have the opportunity to address different issues working with managers all along the year.
Interactive Classes, Leader Lectures, Team Assignments, In-company Workshops, Skill Labs, Career Counseling, 1-month Team Project Work with an HR&O Director, Meetings with the School’s network of Alumni, and a 3-to-4-month Internship provide a unique context for challenging yourself, learning, and starting off a successful career in a business or in a consulting firm.
This program is the first Italian Inter-University Master in HRO, thanks to the collaboration of the Universities of Bologna, Ferrara, Modena, and Reggio Emilia.

The Master is sponsored by the European Association for People Management (EAPM) and it is accredited by the Italian Association of Human Resources Management (AIDP). The Association will give the best Project Work Team the “AIDP Award for Bar-Raisers” that consists of a study tour in Europe and a visit to a multinational company for an amount equivalent to €3,000.
The MHRO is a full-time program divided into three terms
The program starts with a week-long kick-off and ice-breaking session, which leads into the first term. During the first term, the fundamentals of business and regulation are addressed, in order to provide a managerial mindset.
After students are introduced to key topics in the organization and human resources management. In these courses, led by both academic professors and qualified managers and consultants, you learn the main HRO department’ responsibilities and different strategies to address them.
Career development is a key part of this program. A qualified career counselor, in collaboration with a leading company in HR&O, will assist you with a variety of services and resources. In addition to the above, there will be a personal development project, simulation, and interviews with head-hunters and managers, all of which are part of the career development program.
The program includes a 3- to 4-month internship at various companies and consulting firms in Italy or abroad. It is your chance to put into practice the theory and techniques learned during the academic terms. The career development department will assist you to find the internship that is best for you and your development.
At the end of the internship you are required to submit a thesis showcasing your core educational activities during both the academic terms and the internship. The thesis will be presented to the Scientific Committee and to the class.
