In this Official Master we approach flamenco as an object of multidisciplinary study, based on its academic, scientific (from the educational, musical, heritage, as well as its cultural industry, tourist resource) and professional (musicians, dancers / es) , cultural managers, teachers, administrators, etc.).
This Master's Degree is intended to respond to the needs of postgraduate training, research and innovation, around Flamenco from various academic and professional perspectives.
The Master in Research and Analysis of flamenco , in its dual orientation, academic and research, offers specialized and advanced training, training the student for the teaching and study of Flamenco in various educational environments and contexts, while providing the necessary knowledge Theoretical and practical to undertake a postgraduate research work.
The Master has a strong interdisciplinary character, an essential perspective if you want to provide your graduates with a cross-cutting and multidisciplinary training that facilitates a broad vision and knowledge of Flamenco, from many different branches and orientations.
The specialties of the degree are based precisely on its multidisciplinary nature, which guarantees sufficient training and profile in the academic fields that it contemplates to train students who attend it, regardless of a relationship of previous disciplines that allow their access to the degree and of the application, in its own area of specialization, that the training obtained allows the graduate.
It is recommended that the enrolled students enjoy a high capacity of dedication to the study and to the realization of the programs and training activities contemplated in the degree; that has a critical spirit, with a creative and innovative character; and that it shows interest in improving its problem-solving capacity, within multidisciplinary contexts related to Flamenco and its social, cultural, heritage, educational and business dynamics. It is also recommended that students have a great capacity for analysis, synthesis, communication and teamwork; All of these values are particularly suitable for successfully facing the complex multidisciplinary training that flamenco implies, with historical and current dimensions, of social and economic relevance, which cannot be ignored in each academic and formative analysis carried out. The concurrence of all the expressed extremes will contribute to guaranteeing success in the Master in Research and Analysis of Flamenco.
At the Universidad de Huelva , the specialty called Flamenco and Education is offered, aimed mainly at those graduates and professionals with a teaching profile at different levels of the education system: pre-primary and primary education, secondary, high school, music conservatories, music schools, academies, universities, etc., as well as musicians, performers, cultural managers, historians, anthropologists, graduates in tourism, social educators, with an interest in a multidisciplinary approach to Flamenco, for their study, analysis and development of educational and cultural programs.
The requirements for access to the Master's degree studies will be those established in article 16 of RD 1393/2007, of October 29, which establishes the organization of university education and must follow the admission procedure for each academic year determine the Commission of the Single University District of Andalusia.
As a general rule of access, the provisions of article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of October 29, as well as what is established in the Sole Article of Royal Decree 861/2010, of July 2, shall be taken into account that the previous one is modified: To access the official Master's teaching it will be necessary to be in possession of an official Spanish university degree or another issued by an institution of higher education belonging to another State that is part of the European Higher Education Area that empowers the same for access to Master's teachings.
Likewise, graduates may access according to educational systems outside the European Higher Education Area without the need for homologation of their degrees, after verification by the University that they accredit a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees and that they empower in the country issuing the degree for access to postgraduate education. The access by this route will not imply, in any case, the homologation of the previous title that the interested party is in possession, nor its recognition for other purposes than that of taking the Master's teachings.
Law 15/2003, of December 22, Andalusian of Universities, determines in its article 75 that, for the sole purpose of entering the University Centers, all Andalusian public universities may be constituted in a Single District, entrusting the management of the same to a specific commission, constituted within the Andalusian Council of Universities.
Taking into account RD 1393/2007, of October 29, which establishes the organization of official university education, the Commission of the Single University District of Andalusia, in use of the powers conferred on it, and after deliberation and Favorable report from the Postgraduate Advisory Commission, adopts annually agreements that establish the procedure for admission to university master's degrees.
Applicants to pursue the Master's degree must be in possession of any of the Bachelor's or Bachelor's Degrees required to be admitted to this Master's Degree. The coordination team will resolve, prior to pre-registration, the unique access possibilities, and the admission of applications for applicants with degrees obtained abroad.
These provisions are completed with the regulations governing University Master's Studies approved by the participating Universities.
