The program aims to prepare graduates for creative and self-reliant work in process design, development, optimization, and control of chemical processes and plants in the production of both basic and specialty chemicals. The students are also prepared for the continuation of their studies at the Ph.D. level. General knowledge gained at the Bachelor degree studies is extended and deepened via compulsory courses oriented towards theoretical foundations of chemical engineering and heat and mass transport processes. Courses in process engineering, bioengineering, inorganic and organic technologies, chemical informatics, system engineering and safety engineering provide students with the knowledge necessary for their engineering activities. In addition, graduates master a broad range of skills in mathematical modeling, applied mathematics, informatics and computer applications.
Graduates are ready to solve chemical-engineering, bioengineering and technological tasks emerging in analysis, research, design, control, and redesign of technological processes in chemical, petrochemical, biotechnological, food and processing companies and enterprises. They are also prepared to gain leading positions in trade and companies merchandising chemical products. The graduates are also prepared to continue their studies at the Ph.D. level.
