This Master aims to develop diverse competences in students related to the processes of generation, transformation and energy use and, specifically, in the research and development activities on more efficient technologies from the standpoints of energy saving, sustainable use of resources and of environmental preservation, with a view to its subsequent incorporation into engineering or ID departments of companies and entities of the energy sector, or to the elaboration of a doctoral thesis in said field.



The Master has a duration of one year, organized in two semesters with a total of 60 ECTS credits. Each student must take 48 credits in teaching and 12 credits of research work. Of the 48 credits in teaching, 42 are in compulsory subjects and 6 in elective subjects.

During the first semester the Basic Training module is taught, divided into a Fundamentals Matter and another of Methodologies, both subjects are composed of two subjects of 4.5 credits each, and students must complete them in their entirety (18 ECTS). In addition, they will take 6 credits of external internships. In the second semester, the module of specific technologies is taught, which includes 18 credits of compulsory subjects and another 6 credits that the student can choose among the five subjects offered.

Access requirements

Any person who has an official Spanish university degree, or a degree issued by a higher education institution of the EHEA that empowers the country issuing the degree to access official master's degrees. Students with a foreign qualification (external to the EESS) can also take this Master's degree, which is homologated or not approved, provided that the level of training is equivalent to the degree titles and that it authorizes the issuing country to access official master's degrees.

The Master's Degree in Energy Engineering is aimed at graduates in Engineering or Sciences with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent (for example, Senior Engineers and Graduates from Spanish Universities), with the requirement that they have received training corresponding to the basic subjects of Physics. and Mathematics.
