The Economics programme emphasises the development of a thorough knowledge of the current economic theory in its broader context. Its aim is to empower students to independently solve diverse theoretical and applied economic problems while relying on their knowledge of modern theoretical economics and indispensable mathematical-statistical methods.

Graduate Employment

Our graduates assume positions in the field of economic theory and research, as well as in commerce, the financial sector, public administration, and economic journalism. Their excellent knowledge of economics and mathematical methods allows them to study in economic doctoral programmes.

Recognition of Prior Bachelor's and Master's Degrees

In order to enrol in the Master's degree programmes, accepted applicants holding degrees issued by universities outside the Czech Republic have to obtain an official document confirming that their prior degree can be recognized in the Czech Republic.

We strongly recommend to applicants who have received confirmation of acceptance to the programme to read the description of the recognition procedure and to initiate this procedure as soon as possible by filling in the application form and providing the necessary documentation.
