The Master in Design & Advertising arises from the need to provide more specialized training, based on the convergence between Design and Marketing and Advertising, being the only Master in Portugal with specific specialization in Advertising.
Through research leading to the realization of a final work and the use of active pedagogical models, this Master aims to train professionals capable of developing strategic, creative and design aspects, understanding the dynamics of advertising creation, analyzing and critically evaluating different proposals and to think about the models of agency and creative direction of the future.
- Preparation of students to work in the world of advertising creation, through the use of active pedagogical models, with a real project transversal to the program.
- Connecting two fundamental areas of creativity: design and advertising. Students experience the relations of advertising strategy and design aesthetics, as tools that complement each other in responding to market issues.
- Possibility to implement design in all areas of communication and advertising.
- Promotion of reflection on future-oriented trends, in which students deal with the most current communication tools to solve market challenges.
The Factory is IADE special project agency. Its main mission is to leverage IADE reputation and brand recognition. In this unit, where value and knowledge are manufactured, the relationship between students, teachers, laboratories and civil society is clearly emphasized.
The Factory's projects are essentially defined in three lines of action: parallel manufacturing (development of extracurricular projects); curriculum fabrication (projects within the academic context and in collaboration with civil society partners) and fabrication of the future (research applied to the development of projects designed and created from scratch).
This Master's degree aims to train professionals to work in the world of advertising creation, combining advertising strategy and design aesthetics (creative direction, art direction, management and direction of communication and advertising strategy, management and media direction).
The Masters in Design & Advertising will also be prepared to start a teaching or university research career.
