The master´s degree programme in computer science is based on a bachelor’s degree programme in computer science. The aim is to prepare graduate students for a scientific career. The focus is on independent thinking and decision making. The master´s degree programme facilitates the acquisition of specialised knowledge in the following areas:

■ Multimedia systems
Knowledge of computer science can be used in almost every aspect of life – from industry and the services sector to public administration, teaching and research. Graduates specifically deal with support in modelling, design, implementation, assessment and application of complex software systems. Required abilities range from diverse programming tasks and developing modern multimedia solutions to dealing with new media.

■ Final degree “Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.-Ing.) which is equivalent to a Master of Science degree.
