Master in Economics and Business Administration - Business Relationship Management (MSc)
The study in MSc in Economics and Business Administration – Business Relationship Management provides a frame of reference that enables the student to be able to see the value creation of company in a broader perspective, from sub-supplier to end-user. The interaction and relations between the individual players in the supply chain (sub-supplier, producer, customer/distributor, end-user) will be considered in great detail.
The aim of the programme is to qualify the student to solve problems in B-t-B Marketing, Supply Chain Management and International Marketing Management. Therefore, these three courses are compulsory and core courses of the study.
A special feature of the study programme is the student’s close interaction with the companies. This means that the student will be closely affiliated with a company during the study, and the student can select a company internship for the third semester.
The study programme is offered in English.
The purpose of the programme is to enable you to identify and solve complex and cross-organisational tasks at a high academic standard.
You are trained to apply an organisational and managerial angle in your work. Furthermore, you will become competent in holding an economic controlling perspective on how organisations develop and change.
You will find peaceful study areas in the study environments or at the university library. At the library you can find a large part of the literature you need through the library database. If you need any special literature the library will help you get it from other universities in Denmark or abroad.
University of Southern Denmark has its own Student Bookstore where you can order and buy exactly the literature you need.
At the university we prioritise the latest technology and around campus you will find computer rooms with free access to computers. On the computers you have free access to the internet, databases, your email account etc.
The study is intended for jobs that require a general knowledge of a company’s value creation system and an in-depth understanding of B-t-B marketing, logistics and sourcing as management tool. Possible jobs are:
- Supply chain coordinator
- Logistics employee
- International marketing coordinator
- Seller on the B-t-B market
For cand.merc. graduates there is a correspondence between their programme profile and the range of jobs available. As the graduate achieves work experience and possibly further education the boundaries between the specific profiles seems to diminish. Cand.merc. graduates tend to have good opportunities to take on executive positions in the business world.
The international programme profiles are especially relevant for occupation with business that deals with import and export and have global relations.
