About

Companies play a fundamental role in a country's economy, constituting the engine of its economic growth, and contributing to job creation. In this context, company finance is the part of the economy that focuses on investment decision-making (identification of investment opportunities and analysis of their economic viability, usually in terms of profitability), and how to obtain resources financial requirements that companies need for their financing, whether generated from within the company itself (and therefore, linked to the dividend policy) or from third parties external to it (relative to the debt policy). The fundamental goal of business finance is to maximize the value of the business to its owners in a sustainable way.

Special mention must be made of international finance, due to the relevant role they play due to the globalization of the economy. In international finance, business finance and the international economy are linked, in such a way that companies when making their investment and financing decisions are not limited to the possibilities offered by the national market, but also analyze and study the international financial markets, with the aim of being able to take advantage of new opportunities and reduce risks.

In short, company finance refers to the administration of financial resources, how these resources are obtained and managed, paying special attention to their efficient allocation.
