Program Description

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science offers Bachelor's, Master and doctoral study programs. Some programs are further divided into study branches. Bachelor and Master programs in the English language are offered in the full-time forms only. Doctoral study programs are offered both in the full-time and part-time forms. The majority of study branches are open to students with disabilities. Study in the English language is subject to a tuition fee.

The Bachelor study lasts three years and the graduates are awarded the academic degree Bachelor (Czech abbreviation Bc.). The follow-up Master study lasts two years and the graduates are awarded the academic degree Master of Science (Czech abbreviation Ing.). Graduates of a Bachelor study in the same or similar study program can continue in the follow-up Master study. The doctoral study lasts four years and the graduates obtain the academic degree doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.). This study is a follow-up to the completed Master studies, and the student demonstrates the ability of independent scientific work.

General admission requirements: Master degree candidates

Criteria for admission

  • Bachelor degree (at least)
  • English-language ability – students, who are not native speakers may be asked to demonstrate their ability to study in English, e.g. by presenting the results of any language tests they have taken. English language ability document - minimum requirements: IELTS score 5,0; TOEFL internet-based score 62 (possibly other certificates at the same level)
  • Entrance examination (according to the Faculty Admission Procedure Rules and Conditions for Admission)

  • Tuition Fee is 4000 EUR per academic year, payable at the beginning of each academic year. It is non-refundable.
