Overview

The Master in Artistic practices in Visual Arts is directed to study the issues rose by contemporary thinking about art and artistic practice. The research is focused to develop a creative exploration of what is art today and how you can use the theoretical tools, conceptual framing, technological instruments and practical action to produce art objects. The training is thought around three areas: knowledge of art theory, criticism, and history, practical skills to create, design and develop projects.The student acquires capabilities to manage questions through various disciplines: Theoretical disciplines aimed to prepare the student's artistic praxis; Theoretical and practical disciplines that combine artistic practice, exemplification, and discussion of theoretical issues that fallows the artistic practice; Laboratory disciplines of technical practice and technologies, enabling the student to use tools essential to artistic performance. The information provided and the strategy of the tutorials are targeted to the specific interests of students seeking to enhance formal experimentation and iconographic invention that fits the parameters and categories of the complex territory of contemporary art.
