The Master in Applied Critical Archaeology and Heritage (ACRA) brings the study of the past and heritage to the future. With completely innovative options, designed specifically for this degree and dealing with aspects as diverse as critical archaeology, landscape, digital tools, and heritage studies, ACRA will provide students with all the skills needed to successfully forge their path within the professional sector and the international academic one alike.

The aim of ACRA is to provide an academically sound, critical and practice-oriented knowledge of archaeology and cultural heritage, with a global geographic focus.
The students that will successfully accomplish the program will be able to:
Identify and actively engage with major debates within archaeology and related sub-disciplines, helping them to further their subsequent research career, enabling them to design and conduct independent research.
Promote the role of archaeology and related heritage in the broader society, through a variety of communication strategies.
Effectively work in the field with critical awareness, mediating interests, and stakes of different actors and interest groups connected to cultural heritage.

Study grants and subsidies
University students may obtain economic support during their studies from the Emilia Romagna Region, the University of Bologna, and other external bodies.
Unibo Action 1&2 – Check out the opportunities for international students: 11.000 € grants or full fee exemptions. The benefits are assigned on the basis of SAT test, TOLC test or GRE test scores.
