Metallic Biomaterials

The subjects in the curriculum have the role of continuing, deepening and synthesizing the preparation of students from the medical engineering license program. The master's training is aimed at assimilating knowledge and training skills in the study of physicochemical processes that take place in the production of metallic biomaterials, the use of methods of structural analysis and mechanical characterization of metallic materials, biomaterial processing, biomaterial investigation and testing, increasing the biocompatibility of medical devices by making biointerlates and/or bioactive. A special feature in mastering is the analysis and processing of CT / MRI imaging and the simulation of surgical interventions with specialized software (MIMICS), as well as the computerized design and simulation of effort in prosthetic elements with other specific software (ANSYS)
