Master in Animation

Our high-performance professional master is a one-year programme and is directed towards helping everyone realize their potential. This is achieved through a fully integrated approach to the field of Animation, as well as expanding the areas of creative practice in an interdisciplinary way. We create a space of experience and encounter that encourages dialogue in relation to current formal, technical, thematic and theoretical concerns that are relevant today. We are committed to supporting ambitious and diverse study interests and approaches.

Drawing on the expertise of teaching staff, as a student, you integrate process-orientated studio work in relation to animation practice with the acquisition of theoretical principles relevant to innovatory studio practice. You gain access to the formidable expertise, resources and the networks of our coalition partners, Playgrounds, Submarine & Post Panic among others, and connections with studios and festivals in the Netherlands and abroad. Taking account of sector needs in creative employment, as a student you have access to our industry network and regularly execute assignments in collaboration with our partners, allowing them to test their ambitions within an international professional context. Tutors in the programme are Leon van Rooij, Sarah Lugthart and Remco Vlaanderen.
