Advanced Electronics in Intelligent Systems

The Master Course Advanced Electronics in Intelligent Systems is a two-year full-time English-taught study programme which focuses on producing highly-skilled engineers to cover the growing needs of the industry, both locally and globally. Students can enhance their training through internships, and by working on their master thesis in the many companies headquartered in Timisoara which are active in this field. At the same time, the programme develops the innovation and research skills of the students.

Courses

First semester:

  • Optimisation of Energy Converter Parameters
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Metrology and Quality Control
  • Elective 1 (choose 1 course out of 3 options): Modern Programming Techniques; PCBA Design and Manufacturing; Mathematical Morphology

Second semester:

  • Intelligent Drive Control
  • Soft-Switching Techniques
  • Graphical Programming
  • Elective 2 (choose 1 course out of 3 options): Real-Time Systems; ASIC Design; Pattern Recognition

Third semester:

  • Systems on Chip Design
  • Industrial Control Technology
  • Elective 3 (choose 1 course out of 2 options): Low Power Systems, or Flexible and Adaptive Systems
  • Elective 4 (choose 1 course out of 2 options): Advanced Multimedia Technologies; Spectral Analysis and Estimation

Fourth semester:

  • Practical Training/Research
  • Master Thesis Elaboration

Tuition fees, scholarships and deadlines

Tuition fees:

  • Citizens of the European Union, EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and the Swiss Confederation: 3900 RON (approx. 850 EUR)/ academic year
  • Citizens of all other countries: 2430 EUR/ academic year

Deadlines:

  • Citizens of the European Union, EEA (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and the Swiss Confederation: first round of registrations between July 3rd and July 21st, 2017, a second round between September 11th and 13th 2017.
