Based in Milan, the Master in Creative Advertising is a joint initiative between NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano and Media Design School, New Zealand.

Students enrolling in the Master in Creative Advertising, will develop core skills in copywriting, story telling and art direction, to create advertising campaigns across different types of media.


The Master course kicks off with an introduction to the basics of creative advertising, from terminology all the way to best practices. Students will then be challenged by leading companies and experts with workshop briefs designed to give them a working knowledge of the advertising context. In the last month of the course, students will work on a final project, which culminates in an open presentation delivered to all course staff, external examiners and invited critics.

During the master course students will also have the chance to conduct an internship. A dedicated career office will support them in identifying their best employment opportunities.

PROGRAM CURRICULUM: Advertising, Sociology of Cultural Processes, Project Design, Art Direction, Audiovisual Documentation Techniques, Digital Technologies and Applications, Integrated new media


Graduates will have the skills to develop careers in art direction and copy writing in creative agencies worldwide. This includes advertising companies, communication agencies and design studios requiring creative directors, storytellers, brand consultants, media planners, copywriters and art directors.


Media Design School is New Zealand's most-awarded private higher education institute for the creative industries. The Auckland-based school offers specialist degrees for emerging creative industries including a bachelor degrees in the fields of 3D Animation, Media Design, Visual Effects, Game Art and Game Programming. Media Design School alumni have gone on to work with companies such as DreamWorks, Pixar, BBDO and Saatchi & Saatchi, as well as working on major productions such as The Hobbit and Avatar.

In addition to the Media Design School Certificate of Recognition, eligible graduates will also receive an Academic Master Degree awarded by NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education.
