The MA AMC is aimed both at students who want to understand and redesign the classical forms of work in the cultural and media sector, and at those who develop start-ups and innovative working models in the non-profit sector, the independent scene or the dynamically growing creative industries would like. In his interdisciplinary orientation he turns to future designers, founders and change agents in the field of culture, media and creative industries. In the study program, knowledge of cultural and communication theory, curatorial and managerial forms of practice should be made intelligible to one another and brought into conversation with each other in a creative way.
The aim of the study is the preparation for socially reflected, artistically inspired and entrepreneurially responsible activities in the field of culture, media and creative industries.teachThe teaching is divided into four fields:Cultural theory and society;

Markets, management, leadership and entrepreneurial skills.The MA AMC offers the opportunity for individual focus. The study program promotes the sharpening of theoretical thinking, the practice of research on specific issues as well as a cooperative management and leadership understanding. A broad interdisciplinary spectrum of coordinated theory and project modules introduces current communication strategies, innovative cultural and event formats as well as field-specific organizational forms and offers theoretical perspectives on 21st century society. The focus is on the consequences of digital change, cultural upheavals and the emergence of new public spheres as a result of digitization. The planning, management and organizational understanding therefore focuses particularly on participatory approaches.surroundingsAn inspiring environment characterized by student initiatives, social enterprises and civic engagement, a direct and personal contact with the teachers, work areas such as the artsprogram and the media laboratory, student-responsible formats such as the campus radio "Welle20" or student festivals conveys a critically self-confident Attitude and promotes self-initiative thinking and acting. In close cooperation with practice partners (eg innovative cultural organizers, communication agencies, museums or municipalities) and in exchange with teachers, the MA AMC encourages conceptual, critical and autonomous thinking.
