Preparing a report for television demands a sum of knowledge and skills (pre-production planning and reporting, research, scriptwriting, recording skills on camera, interviewing techniques, editing and postproduction, ...) of an advanced nature, needed to produce their broadcast television.

Objectives of the Master in reporterismo
The Master in reportage and Investigative Journalism Television general objective to train professionals of television journalism, specializing in the information genre of reportage, dominate the whole process around the news from birth to issue (planning, documentation, research and search for sources, implementation and report recording, speech and final editing).
The teaching method combines three types of training sessions, whose structure depends on the type of concrete knowledge or skill to be acquired:
- Regular sessions: Each session corresponds to a thematic unit combining theory, group work and discussions, the main protagonist and participatory student learning process.
- Practical sessions-workshops: in them students acquire skills in the use of technical tools for the reporter as equipment ENG or nonlinear editing software. In the "workshop reporterismo" module is reproduced as real as possible, the daily practice in television newsrooms and production teams work in dealing with the development of one or more reports. Students, thus, will record and edit their own news items and reports based on assignments tutor.
- Assessments: Students must perform during the program two partial projects with your team who must present and defend in a court of teachers. In addition, students complete a final report as Final Master project.
- Practices: Students performed during the last three months of the external practices in companies where they complete their training by applying and transferring the company's actual knowledge acquired during the Master program.
That students know how to apply the acquired knowledge and ability to solve problems in new or unfamiliar environments within broader (or multidisciplinary) contexts related to graphic design and visual communication.
The student should be able to integrate knowledge and handle complexity, and formulate judgments based on information that was incomplete or limited, includes reflections on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments.
The student knows communicate their conclusions (and the knowledge and rationale underpinning) to specialists and non-specialists in a clear and unambiguous manner.
The student possesses the learning skills that allow them to continue studying in a way that will be largely self-directed or autonomous.
The Master in reportage and Investigative Journalism Television consists of 70 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) and is divided into three major areas of knowledge with the following structure of modules: Environment Report Television, Production Reports Television and reportage Television Research. The program is completed by the workshop module reporterismo two integrators partial works, the Master's Thesis and placements in companies mandatory.
Admission process Masters in reportage and Research
The Master in reportage and Investigative Journalism Television is an official postgraduate program (70 ECTS) taught collaboratively by TRACOR and the University CEU San Pablo, it is intended for graduates who wish occupationally developed within the broadcast journalism, dominating the whole process around the report: from research to issuance. Especially suitable for graduates in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism.
Students who intend to access the Program must be in possession of:
- A degree or degree, preferably in Audiovisual Communication or Journalism;
- A quivalente the licensed issued by an institution of higher education in the European Higher Education Area entitling the issuing country for access to teachings of Master title
- A title under foreign education systems to the European Higher Education Area without approval, after verification by the University that accredits a level of education equivalent to the corresponding Spanish university degrees and that authorizes the issuing country for access to teachings of Master
The Admissions Committee TRACOR meets regularly to assess the various applications of students who have completed admission tests. The Department of Information and Admissions is responsible for informing candidates of the final result of the admission process. In case of non-acceptance, it is always communicated personally interested, guiding, as far as possible, on more suitable for your career alternatives.
Once admitted into the program, the Department of Information and Admissions tells the student candidate for the steps to reserve a place and final enrollment in the Masters. To reserve a place, the candidate must proceed to make the payment of 20% of the registration fee. The formalization of tuition Agreement grants candidate status student can choose between several forms of payment.
