Studies on "Finance, Accounting and Insurance" are intended for people who have a bachelor's, master's or equivalent in each direction. The second cycle complement the knowledge gained at the undergraduate degree in finance and accounting as well as broaden the knowledge directional by selecting one of two specializations: "Corporate Finance and Accounting" and "Management of financial institutions." Specialization is chosen during the first semester; Specialization classes start of the second semester. Specialization will be launched in case of reporting on it at least 50 candidates.
After passing the exam courses, writing a thesis and passing the examination, students are awarded the Master's degree in Finance, Accounting and Insurance.
Broad international cooperation of the Faculty of Management with more than 60 European universities in the framework of the ERASMUS program and with many universities from the USA and Asia, allows students to download the study at foreign universities. Faculty of Management applies the European Credit Transfer System (European Credit Transfer System, ECTS).
Studies on "Finance, Accounting and Insurance" to educate a professional profile with full qualifications in finance, accounting and insurance. This knowledge is to be of a general nature, firmly rooted in contemporary theories of the functioning of financial markets, accounting and its international standards. At the same time, they achieved qualification, consisting of acquired learning outcomes are the basis for not only the activity of a test, but also provide the opportunity to actively participate in economic practice. Without efforts on education in this area it is difficult to imagine the rational behavior of economic agents in the era of globalization, integration and computerization. These processes require because on the one hand understanding of financial flows and their standardization, and other ways to hedge against possible economic perturbations.
Polish companies to become international competition must have managers and employees who are able to optimally combine various solutions in the field of monitoring costs, and risk management. Only a complete profile of education, including accounting, finance companies and financial institutions, functioning financial market makes it possible to improve operating efficiency and thus competitiveness on the international market.
The proposed direction is also compatible with the standards adopted by the Education Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and how the best schools in the western world - both American and European. At the same time, the selected directional effects are consistent with the requirements of candidates for auditors.
A graduate of the Finance, Accounting and Insurance has a compendium of knowledge in the field of corporate finance, advanced accounting (including financial management) and the principles of functioning of capital market institutions, their role in protecting against the risk of economic activity, as well as the public finance sector. This is knowledge that will enable him to work both in managerial positions, as well as substantive (in accounting, in the sections of financial risk management, insurance, public sector institutions).
A graduate will be prepared to independently solve professional problems, but also knows the rules of teamwork. He can practically use spreadsheet, keep the accounting books and make full use of basic programs used in office work. Have sufficient knowledge to perform, among others, the function of an insurance agent, independent employee in the accounting department and asset management and risk management. Due to their knowledge in the field of law, management and conduct financial records, it has the ability to independently conduct business. Know a foreign language at the B2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages of the Council of Europe and is able to use this language in the specialist terminology in the field of finance, accounting and insurance. It is prepared to undertake postgraduate studies and third cycle.
The possibility of continuing education
