specific educational goals.
The course in electronic engineering degree favors the development of cross-functional knowledge and skills all'acquisire mastering the techniques of electronics and its applications in different fields of information engineering.
Degree in Electronic Engineering
I - Knowledge and understanding
Graduates in Electronic Engineering will have acquired knowledge: 1) the methodological and operational aspects of mathematics and natural science related electronic engineering, and computer engineering in general; 2) the methodological and operational aspects of basic and advanced the following specific subjects for electronics engineering: electronics, electrical and electronic measurements, electromagnetic fields, to a level that you can understand and promote technological innovation in the sector; 3) of the advanced methodological-operational aspects of engineering disciplines type of particular interest for the information engineering, and electronics in particular, with specific reference to: for information processing systems, telecommunications, automatic, to a level enabling technology transfer; 4) of the main aspects of economic / social related to the profession of engineer; 5) the specific characteristics of advanced electronic engineering applications in at least one field of engineering information, useful for advanced and innovative applications.
Our knowledge of the point 1) have occurred on the basis of satisfying the input requirements and are strengthened in the two years of the course and through their use for the formalization of the phenomena analyzed and the development of advanced engineering techniques in the various engineering courses that through optional and specific related teachings.
The specific knowledge set out in points 2) and 3) are checked on the basis of the satisfaction of the input requirements, as regards the basic ones, and thus, as regards those advanced, developed and acquired through optional compulsory courses referring to specific sectors information engineering.
The knowledge referred to in point 4) will be developed both through teaching and / or optional internship activities within specific vocational courses in engineering electronics.
Knowledge defined in paragraph 5) are acquired either through compulsory courses and optional professionalizing through activities related to the individual work will be the subject of the thesis.
As well as through the exams for the various teachings, the acquisition of knowledge and understanding can also be verified through reports and / or interviews during technical / practical activities.
II - Applying knowledge and understanding Graduates in Electronic Engineering will have developed: 1) the ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and other basic sciences to interpret and describe, even in an original way, the information engineering problems , and in particular electronic; 2) the ability to design tests and experiments on both virtual and real complex systems and understand the results in order to develop innovative solutions to solve typical engineering problems in information engineering, especially in the field of electronics; 3) the ability to apply their skills and to identify solutions to complex engineering problems is to justify, support and argue its technical choices, even innovative, in the context of information engineering profession.
These skills are mainly developed in the teachings core and related mandatory through discussion and examination of case studies, as well as during any technical / practices designed activities for integration into the working world.
III - Making judgments
The Graduate Degree will be able to make its own assessment and / or judgment based on the interpretation of the available data and abstract patterns, as well as identify ways, including original and innovative, the additional data collection that may be necessary in order to achieve greater certainty about complex information engineering issues, particularly electronics. This is expressed by the capacity of knowing how to do, knowing how to take initiatives and decisions in the awareness of the risks, taking into account both the evolution and development of the technique also impact economic and social choices.
Well as through specific courses aimed learning the techniques for developing formal models and acquisition and processing of data and signals, these capabilities will be developed throughout the course of studies through the integration of the teachings.
The verification of the maturity and independence of judgment is carried out continuously by the teachers during the training through periodic and final audits. In particular, the teachings that provide for significant design component, through exercises, term papers and / or laboratory work, and the final test, based on an original work, to assess the ability of independent judgment of the student.
IV - Communication skills
The Graduate Degree must know to communicate effectively to the party's ideas and proposals for solutions, including innovative and high complexity, clarifying their ratio as well as information, both technical and general. Will know how to choose the form and the appropriate means of communication interlocutor, both specialist who does not specialist. This will be expressed through the ability to properly use both the technical language that the formal and knowing how to illustrate in a clear and simple concepts and typical information engineering issues, particularly electronics.
He will be able to communicate effectively in written and oral form, in English, as well as in Italian. Communication skills input, whose minimum level is considered certified by the graduation of university studies degree, are developed through the teaching of teachers who, using various forms of communication, are an example of effective communication.
The exams, providing overall both written and oral evidence, constitute both an incentive to develop both main forms of expression that a verification of the achievement of the same opportunity.
It will be valued the acquisition of additional language skills through the recognition of credits for the achievement of knowledge claims of foreign languages at least at level B1, and B2 with respect to the English language.
Language / and official teaching, and assessment of the preparation.
V - Learning skills
The Graduate Degree in Electronic Engineering will have developed self-training skills that are necessary for an engineer to update continuously the evolution of science and technology in the field of information engineering. He has developed the ability to tap into different literature sources, both in Italian and in English, in order to acquire new skills.
The Graduate Degree in Electronic Engineering will have the self-learning ability needed to undertake further studies, as a second-level Master courses and Doctorate in the field of information engineering, and in particular electronics, as well as to undertake the task working at research centers and advanced design.
its development with regard to advanced and innovative themes of information engineering is achieved with constant reference to various literature sources, also in English giving for granted a significant learning skills certified by the achievement of the university studies of the first level degree, for the preparation of the exams and the final exam.
In addition, to facilitate this objective, the Study Programme can organize special seminars on topics of interest to an engineer information.
The verification of the ability to learn is contextual to the skills assessment during the exams, including through the use, for some courses, for verification terms that require the preparation of a paper on untreated cases during the courses.
