The Master in Sociology aims to provide graduate students with adding theoretical and practical knowledge that allows the consolidation of the Sociologist profession, reinforcing their research abilities and developing their practical skills to be applied in professional contexts.
The course focuses on flexibility, on scientific interdisciplinarity and on the enhancement of Sociologist skills as an adequate response to the challenges and contemporary problems, especially those arising from the economic and social changes promoted by globalization. It is in pursuit of this line of objectives that the Master is divided into three areas of specialization: (1) Culture, Leisure and Tourism; (2) Social Policies; (3) and Organizations and Labor.
The second year of the program is dedicated to the realization of a dissertation or a project/internship work report.
