Part-time studies with a focus on corporate communications, marketing and PR
Website and corporate blog, customer magazine and social media channels, print advertisements and online banners - corporate communications, public relations and marketing are just as multifaceted as complex fields of work today. In order to attract the attention of customers and consumers to successfully establish their own brand and build long-lasting customer relationships, companies and other organizations need to align all their communication efforts. Activities of corporate publishing and traditional public relations work require a consistent content marketing strategy that ideally uses the means of brand storytelling. Customers can be approached in this way at different touchpoints and accompanied on their entire customer journey. The degree program Corporate Media (formerly Corporate Publishing) of the Leipzig School of Media (LSoM) provides specialists from communication and marketing departments with the necessary skills to master these challenges in times of digitization within three semesters.
Target group and contents of the program
The extra-occupational Master Program Corporate Media is aimed at anyone who communicates in the communications, PR and marketing departments of companies, associations, political parties and administrations, agencies and media companies, and in particular responsibility for the areas of corporate publishing, content marketing and public relations carry. Practical and academically sound, the study program conveys the necessary knowledge in the following topics and fields of work:
- Public Relations (PR), Public Relations and Integrated Communications,
- Marketing, Brand Management and Brand Management,
- Corporate publishing, content marketing and brand storytelling,
- Media management, media design and media production,
- Journalistic methodology, project management and product development.

Master's degree from the University of Leipzig
The program is a joint offer of the Leipzig School of Media and the University of Leipzig. Participants study at the LSoM during the three semesters. The University of Leipzig awards the internationally recognized academic degree "Master of Arts" and a Master's degree certificate.The degree entitles to a doctorate.On the website of the University of Leipzig you will also find the official study documents, ie study and examination regulations as well as aptitude assessment.
The master program is conceived as an extra-occupational offer. Once a month, students attend classroom sessions on the media campus Villa Ida in Leipzig on three consecutive days (usually from Thursday to Saturday). Between the face-to-face appointments, students continue to pursue their profession. In this way, what you have learned can be applied immediately in practice. In the case of self-study, students are supported via the online campus, which offers the opportunity for e-learning. The LSoM's entire teaching and learning process is based on a comprehensive blended learning concept to make the most of the benefits of integrating face-to-face teaching and self-study. Fees, funding and scholarships
The tuition fees for the Master program Corporate Media amount to 5,500 Euro per semester. Overall, the costs for the three-semester study thus amount to 16,500 euros.
As a non-profit educational institution, LSoM does not intend to profit. The tuition fees flow directly into teaching and guarantee renowned lecturers from science and practice. Also included are the costs of exams and teaching materials.
In our service area, we have compiled extensive information on the financing of our offers. Among other things, we grant students an early bird rebate of 10 percent if they apply to the LSoM by the end of March and sign their study contract by the end of April. The tuition fees are also exempt from VAT.

Start of studies, admission requirements and application
The Corporate Media degree program starts annually for the winter semester. Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:
- completed university degree with a minimum of six semesters
- Proof of work experience of usually less than one year
- as a non-native speaker: sufficient, that is verifiable, knowledge of the German language
The number of study places per year is limited to 15, in order to ensure optimal supervision and quality of teaching. Applications are accepted by LSoM at any time.
