This qualification is intended to enable graduates to apply integrated technical knowledge/skills and advanced analysis and problem-solving to a particular specialisation in quantity surveying, property development and other related fields, through involvement in an applied research project.
Qualification outcomes and assessment criteria
Conduct research and development in a specialised area and engage in the transfer of technology in the field of quantity surveying and property development.
Admission requirements and selection criteria
A BTech: Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent qualification of an equivalent standard OR A National Higher Diploma: Building Surveying plus approved work experience and other post-diploma qualifications. Students are selected on academic merit and approved field of study.
Conferment of degree
The MTech: Quantity Surveying will be conferred on students who have completed the research project and dissertation successfully.
Registration and Start Dates
Registration starts in January and lectures in February for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate course work programmes.
All research programmes for Masters and PhD can register throughout the year.
End Date: Academic starts in January and ends in December. Programme deadline is determined by the duration of the programme.
